Brad Haggen joins Blaine manufacturing company

Here's a news release about Brad Haggen, hired by Jovan's Pure Nutrition to help grow the company:

Jóvan’s Pure Nutrition, provider of delicious and nutritious natural food products, has appointed Brad Haggen as executive vice president of sales & marketing to increase its retail presence across the country.

Jóvan’s Pure Nutrition (, based in Blaine, Wash., also announced it is adding this fall to its line of natural grocery products.

Haggen has more than 20 years of management experience with Haggen, Inc., a regional grocer founded by his family, which sold a majority stake in the company four years ago. Haggen’s achievements included creation of two subsidiaries, Haggen Market Street Catering and TerraVida Coffee. His tenure also included six years as vice president of Marketing.

“Brad Haggen’s knowledge of what grocery stores want from manufacturers and his extensive contacts in the industry will help us immensely,” said Jóvan Johnson, President of Jóvan’s Pure Nutrition.

Jóvan’s Pure Nutrition is a wholesaler of Jovan’s All Natural Instant Breakfast and Jóvan’s Whole Food Gluten Free Artisan Crackers throughout the United States and now into Canada. The company also is launching three new lines of products this fall that complement its all-natural emphasis in the wholesale market:

-- Jóvan’s Steel Cut Oat Blends.

-- A sweet, seed cracker.

-- A line of jams, jellies and mustards, made possible by the acquisition earlier this summer of Aldrich Farms.

Jóvan’s Pure Nutrition, owned by Jovan Johnson and J. Hugh Wiebe, was launched in 2007. Wiebe has been instrumental in building large multinational companies. He founded Brookside Foods Ltd., serving as chairman of the board for the chocolate confectionary producer based in Abbotsford, B.C. until its sale to a large international manufacturer in 2012. Wiebe also founded Inovatech Egg Products and Neova Technologies.
