Winco plans 8 a.m. opening of Bellingham store on Aug. 15

BELLINGHAM — The grocery store chain WinCo has announced an 8 a.m. opening on Thursday, Aug. 15 of its store at 300 E. Bellis Fair Way, in the former Joe’s Sporting Goods store.

WinCo Spokesman Michael Read said the plan is to get the doors open on Aug. 15, following with some grand opening deals next week. The 90,000-square-foot Bellingham store will have fresh produce, bulk food, meat, deli, seafood and bakery departments.

The store does not accept credit cards. It does accept U.S. cash, Canadian cash, debit cards and checks.

The store is employee owned. WinCo has 88 stores in seven states.
