Brabus Could Be Building a 1,000-HP Aston Martin Vanquish Coupe

Early Clues Surface

Brabus has released new teaser images on social media of a new coupe that, based on its silhouette and design cues, could be derived from the Aston Martin Vanquish. One of the hashtags, "Bodo" – a reference to company founder Bodo Buschmann – is believed to hint at the name of the brand's latest project.

Few details have been disclosed, but given how Brabus typically tunes its cars to unlock more power – as seen in its 986-horsepower Mercedes-AMG GT S E Performance build – the "Brabus Bodo" is expected to push the Vanquish to the extreme.

Not Just Any Donor Car

For the uninitiated, the Vanquish is Aston Martin's flagship model, so whatever Brabus is working on is likely shaping up to be something extra special. The Vanquish comes with an in-house 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 that produces 824 horsepower and 738 lb-ft of torque. Like the Ferrari 12Cilindri, the British grand tourer retains a V12, rear-wheel-drive configuration at a time when many performance cars are moving toward smaller engines and hybrid-assisted all-wheel drive.

Based on Brabus' website, the Bodo project is said to embody the "ambition to go further" and "to push harder," so the numbers could be remarkable. For now, the Brabus Rocket 1000 appears to be the benchmark, as it pushes output to 986 horsepower (or 1,000 metric hp) while adding aggressive carbon fiber bodywork for improved aerodynamics.

A previous report showed alleged leaked images of the Brabus Bodo V12, featuring a long hood, quad LED taillights, and a quad exhaust system. These details suggest the upcoming model could adopt a distinctly aggressive design that sets it apart from the standard Vanquish.

The Clock Is Ticking

As of this writing, the Bodo countdown stands at 20 days, pointing to a reveal around mid-May 2026. One of the few clues the company has shared is: "The 77 is more than a number to us. It is a date. It is a place. It is a statement," suggesting the number "77" could also appear on the model's nameplate.

Once revealed in production form, the vehicle would join Brabus' high-performance portfolio, which is largely made up of Mercedes-AMG and Porsche-based builds. The company's work is not limited to sports cars, though, as it also modifies SUVs such as the Rolls-Royce Cullinan and Land Rover Range Rover, even working on 6x6 versions of the Mercedes-AMG G-Wagon.
