After 6 years in business, Whatcom County food trucks will shut down this summer
A Bellingham-based food truck known for its fresh fish and chips is closing up shop. Owners posted “a bittersweet love letter” Monday on social media announcing the closure of The Galley Fish and Chips and Galley2GoToo food trucks.
“Life has thrown us some curveballs, and after much deliberation, and with a heavy heart, we are choosing to close and sell two trucks,” the Feb. 9 post states.
Owners plan to close both food trucks permanently at the end of summer 2026, according to the post.
“We have appreciated all your support over the last six years. You’ve helped grow a silly dream into an amazing reality,” the post states.
In a Facebook comment on the post, the business clarified that the business will not be listed for sale after closing. Gift cards will also be accepted until the final closure. No official closing date has been announced.
The Galley Fish and Chips truck is open regularly from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday at 1225 Roeder Ave. in Bellingham.
The Galley2GoToo food truck is open regularly from 4 to 8p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, noon to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday at 1009 Larrabee Ave. in Bellingham, outside of Stones Throw Brewery.
