Fairhaven flower shop moving to Silver Beach to offer more services and classes
Poppy & Pomegranate, a flower and gift shop floral designer Elyse Perron launched in 2023, will be leaving Fairhaven this month for a new location.
Perron has owned her floral design business since 2019 but later decided to open a brick-and-mortar location to expand the products she offers.
“When I started in October 2019, I offered deliveries around Whidbey Island and Anacortes as well as full service and a la carte wedding and event florals as far as Seattle. The only difference now with the brick-and-mortar is that I can support local and handmade creators alongside the local farmers and growers we source our flowers from,” Perron told The Herald in 2023.
Perron is moving her shop from 1003 Harris Ave. to 601 Northshore Drive, Unit 102, after the Valentine’s Day holiday rush.
“I’m so excited about it and can’t wait to move in! We’re going to remain in our Fairhaven location through Valentine’s Day, our classic romance novel inspired collection is live on our website, and we’re offering 20% off on pre-orders placed before Feb. 8,” Perron told The Herald in a Jan. 31 email.
“After that we’ll be continuing to operate smoothly while we take the second half of February to transition to our new location. Our soft open is planned for March 4th where we will be working under new hours and updated inventory,” Perron said.
The new location is in the Silver Beach neighborhood, near Lakeline restaurant and Silver Beach Grocery store.
“We’re calibrating to what we love; our relationships with our clients and designing with intention. We love getting to be a part of our community and the moments that take place within it. It’s truly our pleasure to help make them special, and this new space will allow us to do just that in the way that we always have: thoughtfully and beautifully with locally sourced flowers and stunning designs,” Perron said.
The new space also will allow Perron to expand offerings and services.
“We’re also re-vamping our services to stretch beyond daily deliveries/pick-ups and weddings. We’ll be offering private classes (for our DIY brides, individual parties, team building, etc.), commercial and individual subscription services, and broader event florals,” Perron said.
The new shop will open March 4 at 601 Northshore Drive, Unit 102. New operating hours have not been announced.
“We’ve loved every minute of our time in Fairhaven and will miss our friends and neighbors, but we’re looking forward to creating new and lasting relationships,” Perron said.
