Shop local on Black Friday, Small Business Saturday at these Bellingham events
As Thanksgiving ends and you sit down on the couch after a big meal, you may start scrolling on your phone to find some Black Friday deals.
But before using your two-day shipping, some local Whatcom County businesses and shops will be hosting their own Black Friday sales and events for Small Business Saturday from Nov. 28-29.
Here’s your guide to local savings across Whatcom County:
- Wander Brewing is hosting a Small Business Saturday Holiday Market from 3 to 7 p.m. Nov. 29. The free market will feature local vendors, beer from Wander, and live music. Wander Brewing is at 1807 Dean Ave. in Bellingham.
- Lost Giants Cider Company will celebrate Black Friday by offering $2 off cider pours and 6-packs from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 28. Lost Giants Cider Company is at 1200 Meador Ave. in Bellingham.
- A Shop Small Holiday Makers Market will run from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 30 at the Bellingham Cruise Terminal. The free market will feature a variety of local vendors. The Bellingham Cruise Terminal is at 355 Harris Ave. in Bellingham.
- Hela Provisions is hosting a Small Business Saturday Wine Tasting and Holiday Shopping event from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 29. Wine tasting tickets cost $5 and are available online or at the shop. Hela Provisions has a variety of specialty foods for sale, and Guerilla Kitchen and Bakery will also do a pop-up at the event. Hela Provisions is at 1305 Cornwall Ave. in Bellingham.
- Structures Brewing is hosting an Up-Cycled Arts Market by Sustainable Connections from 2 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 29. The free market will feature local sustainable art crafters, live music, raffles and mulled wine. Structures Brewing is at 601 W Holly St. in Bellingham.
- Northwest Yarns & Mercantile is hosting a Small Business Saturday sale, with 15% off all yarn, kits, fabrics and fibers, both online and in store. The shop is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at 1401 Commercial St. in Bellingham.
- Firehouse Arts & Events Center is hosting a Holiday Market on Small Business Saturday from 1 to 6 p.m. The event is free to attend and will feature local artisans and vendors. Firehouse Arts & Events Center is at 1314 Harris Ave. in Bellingham.
