Bellingham will soon have three new dining and snack options:

A Bellingham city building permit was submitted to put in a new restaurant called Galos Flame Grilled Chicken at 4303 Meridian St., next to Starbucks and near the former Billy McHale’s restaurant building. According to its website, the company is also opening four other restaurants in the Seattle area. Along with plenty of chicken dishes, the menu suggests they will also offer a variety of salads, veggie choices, burgers and wraps.

El Rey recently opened for business at 2527 Meridian St. in the Fountain District near Menace Brewing. According to its website, El Rey has a wide range of Central and South American homestyle cuisine, including dishes from Honduras, Nicaragua, Columbia, Costa Rica, Guatemala and El Salvador. The restaurant also plans on opening a sports bar.

West Coast Pops announced on its Facebook page that it is opening a shop on April 12 at 2010 N. State. St., near Hardware Sales. Along with handmade freezer pops, the company has applied for a state liquor license to sell beer.
