7-11 a.m. July 16: Raspberry Festival pancake breakfast includes local raspberries, scrambled eggs, sausage, orange juice, coffee. Open to all ages. Admission: $5, benefits senior programs and services at the center.
Aug. 29: All-County Senior Bocce Tournament, bocce court at Bender Fields. Teams sign in at 9 a.m., play begins 9:30. No cost for team entry, but players must be a member of a Whatcom County senior center. Team registration due by Aug. 19. Picnic lunch available for $6 for players and spectators; make lunch reservations by Aug. 24 by calling 360-354-4501.
