CAREGIVERS CONFERENCE

March 6: Elder Service Providers hosts the 20th annual Caregiver Conference at the Silver Reef Event Center, Haxton Way and Slater Road, Ferndale. The conference features a keynote talk by author and caregiving expert Wendy Lustbader. Continuing education credits available for professional caregivers. BELLINGHAM SENIOR CENTER

11 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 11: Third Annual Antique and Collectibles Evaluation Event takes place at the center, 315 Halleck St. Expert evaluators will look at your items and estimate what they might be worth. Barbecue lunch available.

MENDED HEARTS

11 a.m. March 7: At a “Greeting Go Round,” members of Mended Hearts and guests can get to know each other better and share thoughts during short, rotating roundtable discussions. Mended Hearts is a nonprofit group of volunteers who support heart patients and their caregiver families. Event is at St. Luke’s Community Health Education Center, Room A, 3333 Squalicum Parkway. 10 a.m. to noon April 11: Mended Hearts presents its first Heart Healthy Health Fair at St. Luke’s Community Health Education Center, Room A, 3333 Squalicum Parkway. Topics include nutrition, value of exercise and rehabilitation after a heart incident, benefit of volunteering, blood thinners, legal issues, medications, depression related to heart disease, and sleep apnea and heart disease. UNITARIAN WORKSHOPS

Bellingham Unitarian Fellowship, 1207 Ellsworth St., is offering workshops “for the second half of life” from 1 to 3 p.m. on Wednesdays through May 27. Workshops are open to adults; optional donation of $1 to $20 appreciated. Details: Rachel Smith Manrique, 360-920-7638.

March 15 or 22: Watch the “Kurios” show in Seattle from Cirque du Soleil.

March 17-20: Tour San Diego, including its parks, Coronado Island and Sea World.

March 25-27: Tour New Orleans’ French quarters and other famous sites.

March 24: Visit the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and tour Seattle’s Frye Museum

March 31: Visit the Yaletown district of Vancouver, B.C. Enjoy French tea, tour heritage churches.

April 12-17: Stay at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge and enjoy the scenery of Jasper National Park in Canada.

May 2-4: Travel to Portland by train and visit the heart of the city.

May 16-23: Enjoy a seven-day exploration of Southeast Alaska, round-trip on a cruise from Seattle.

July 10-16: Tour the Canadian Rockies by rail, with visits to museums, parks and hot springs.

Sept. 6-13: Visit New England, including Martha’s Vineyard, the Cape Islands and Newport, R.I.

Oct. 10-17: Visit Ireland, with stops in Dublin, the cliffs of Moher and elsewhere.

Oct. 21-24: Stay on the Queen Mary ocean liner in Long Beach and enjoy a sea cruise to Catalina Island.
