The Fourth of July is right around the corner and for those looking for local events or firework shows, The Bellingham Herald has put together this guide to help you plan your holiday weekend.

Here’s a list of local Fourth of July events in Whatcom County:

Fourth of July Spectacular

The annual Fourth of July fireworks event at Zuanich Point Park is back this year from 2-11 p.m. on July 4. The free event includes games and activities for kids, a beer garden, live music, local food vendors and a firework show. There is limited parking so attendees are encouraged to bike or walk to the park.

Zuanich Point Park is at 2600 N Harbor Loop Dr. in Bellingham.

Blaine Old-Fashioned 4th of July Celebration

This Fourth of July celebration runs from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. on July 4 and features a long list of activities and entertainment for all ages. The morning kicks off with a pancake breakfast, followed by a street fair, car show, parade, live music, food vendors, face painting, balloon art and a firework show.

The event is at 685 Peace Portal Dr. in Blaine and is free to attend.

Blues, Brews & BBQ 4th of July Celebration

Hotel Bellwether is hosting a 4th of July event with live music, BBQ and special drinks from its bar. The event begins at 5:30 p.m. and fireworks are set to start at 10:30 p.m. The event costs $45 per person including BBQ and can be purchased at the door or online in advance.

4th of July activities at Semiahmoo Resort

Semiahmoo Resort is hosting a seaside BBQ and firework shows that is open for resort guests and the community on July 4. The seaside BBQ runs from 4-7 p.m. and includes live music, games, a bounce house, face painting and a BBQ dinner of hamburgers, hot dogs, corn dogs, fried pickles, elotes, drinks and dessert on the lawn. Tickets are available at the door. Fireworks at Peace Arch Dock begin at 10 p.m.

Semiahmoo Resort is at 9565 Semiahmoo Parkway in Blaine.

Bellingham Bells 4th of July baseball game

The Bellingham Bells will be playing a game at 6:35 p.m. on July 4 which will include a post-game firework show and fanny pack giveaway, along with food discounts. Tickets are 50% off and guests can enjoy $2 draft beers and $2 off alcoholic beverages and entree meals. Tickets can be purchased online or at the field.

The Bells play at Joe Martin Field at 1220 Civic Field Way in Bellingham.
