A 32-year-old man last seen at a casino in Washington was found dead in his submerged truck three years after he disappeared, officials said.

The body of Terry “TJ” Shinaver of St. Helens, Oregon, was discovered Dec. 7 in water off Dike Road in Woodland, Washington, the Cowlitz County Coroner said in a Dec. 15 news release.

A tow truck had been in the area for a different vehicle, the coroner said.

Instead, the truck found Shinaver’s vehicle.

The coroner’s office said it identified his remains using dental records. The office ruled he died of an accidental drowning.

Shinaver was last seen April 30, 2021, at the ilani Casino Resort in Ridgefield, Washington, the St. Helens Police Department said in a Facebook post that year.

No more information is being released, the coroner’s office said.

Woodland is about a 30-mile drive north from Portland.
