Breaking Down Easter Eggs of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's MSG Wedding

The countdown is seemingly on for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding - and fans believe the big day will indeed take place at Madison Square Garden.

Swift and Kelce, both 36, have been together since 2023, getting engaged two years later. The couple, however, never publicly divulged any details of their wedding plans.

"I think the wedding is what happens after [my Life of a Showgirl promotional tour] in the scheme of the planning, but I'm so excited about it," Swift succinctly said on the Graham Norton Show in October 2025. "I know it's gonna be fun to plan because I think the only stressful weddings are the ones where you have a small amount and people are on the bubble."

Months later, speculation began swirling that Swift and Kelce planned to exchange vows at MSG over 4th of July weekend.

Sources, meanwhile, told Us Weekly that the couple do plan to say "I do" in early July in New York City and even invited guests are waiting for venue details.

"Taylor and Travis told guests to be in NYC. No other location was provided," the insider exclusively told Us. "They're putting their guests on hold for a couple days. They are spending a lot of money – in the millions."

A second source further claimed that guests also agreed to non-disclosure agreements before receiving "any details."

They're Living in a Lavender Haze

Photos surfaced on Tuesday, June 30, that a lilac-colored carpet was installed outside MSG. TMZ, however, reported within hours that the rug was rolled back up.

For fans, the lavender hue relates back to Swift's song "Lavender Haze."

"I feel the lavender haze creepin' up on me / Surreal, I'm damned if I do give a damn what people say," she sings on the Midnights track, presumably inspired by Swift's relationship with now-ex Joe Alwyn. "No deal, the 1950s s*** they want from me / I just wanna stay in that lavender haze."

A Wedding Fit for Royalty

TMZ also reported that Swift and Kelce's wedding coordinators were building a grand castle inside MSG. Without further confirmation from the pop princess herself, fans remember how Swift featured castles in music videos for "Love Story" and "Blank Space."

She's a Mirrorball

Event load-in began on Monday, June 29, and Tuesday, June 30, where Peopleobtained footage of a truck arriving at the venue. In one snap, a carton reading "Mirrorball" was visible. Lest anyone forget that "Mirrorball" is another Swift song.

"I want you to know / I'm a mirrorball," the Folklore song's lyrics read. "I can change everything about me to fit in / You are not like the regulars / The masquerade revelers / Drunk as they watch my shattered edges glisten."

Elsewhere in People's report, photos featured a placard in the truck that read "Garden Party." Swift notably hosted an outdoor tea party in her "Bejeweled" music video three years before Kelce's peony-filled proposal in his Kansas City backyard.

All the World's a Stage

As reported wedding prep continues, theDaily Mailobtained photos of delivery trucks bringing audio equipment into MSG. Considering Swift is a singer with an arsenal of equally musical friends, it is likely that someone will perform an impromptu set.

"Oh, it would be hard to keep him from it," Swift said on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in October 2025, specifically discussing BFF Ed Sheeran taking the mic at her reception. "He's like, ‘I'm always being asked to sing at weddings.' It's like, ‘Ed, if there is a stage, you know you'll be on it.' He knows what people want, and he wants to give people what they want."

There's Merch Abound

One of the delivery drivers spotted operating a truck outside MSG wore a "Taylor Swift Carpenters" T-shirt in her original logo on Tuesday.

"The concept of Taylor's touring crew being the ones to set up her wedding … I'm going to sob," one fan tweeted, speculating that Swift employed her usual crew for the ceremony.

The Happy Couple Has Arrived

Kelce himself was spotted jogging in NYC on Tuesday in photos from DeuxMoi. Swift, who has a residence in NYC, has not yet been spotted in the city ahead of the big day, but chances are the bride and groom both made the trip.
