Cher Reportedly Files for Conservatorship of Son Elijah Blue Allman

Cher has filed for a conservatorship of son Elijah Blue Allman following several legal troubles.

Page Six broke the news on Friday, April 17, after obtaining court documents filed by Cher, 79, in Los Angeles Superior Court earlier this week. The legendary singer requested that fiduciary Jason Rubin take charge of her 49-year-old son's finances, the outlet reported.

This is the second time Cher has filed for a conservatorship of Allman's estate. The court documents obtained by Page Six allege that Allman's life "has significantly deteriorated" since Cher's first conservatorship petition in 2023, which was denied in January 2024.

The documents allege that Allman is being held at a psychiatric hospital in New Hampshire "in an attempt to restore him to competency to face criminal charges." The docs noted that this is only Allman's "current set of problems," noting that he "has no concept of money" and cannot manage his own finances.

Cher alleged in the documents that Allman spends money "immediately" and "almost exclusively on drugs, expensive hotels and limousine transportation."

Us Weekly has reached out to Cher's team for comment.

Allman was arrested in New Hampshire on two separate occasions earlier this year.

His first arrest, for assault and criminal trespassing, came in February after Allman allegedly caused a disturbance at a prep school in the state. The Concord Police Department confirmed to TMZ that there was an unwanted guest at the school and they were "acting belligerently."

It was also reported that Allman was charged with two counts of assault and one count each of criminal trespass, criminal threatening and disorderly conduct after the alleged incident.

Allman's second arrest came last month when he allegedly broke into a Windham, New Hampshire, house. The town's police department confirmed to Us Weekly at the time that Allman was charged with burglary, two counts of criminal mischief and breach of bail.

Cher shares Elijah with late ex-husband Gregg Allman, to whom she was married from 1975 to 1979. Gregg died at age 69 in 2017 after a battle with throat cancer.

"He and I have such a bizarre relationship. We've had so many strange moments," Cher said of Elijah during a September 2024 appearance on Dr. Phil. "I don't really understand him. Somehow, Elijah and I kind of talk through osmosis."
