After years of waiting, Bellingham’s Chick-Fil-A location has an official opening date.
Back in May 2023, Chick-Fil-A filed a pre-application with the city of Bellingham, proposing plans for its 5,028-square-feet restaurant with a dual-lane drive-through location. Almost exactly three years later, the restaurant is finally set to open Thursday, April 30, according to a news release from the company.
During the opening day “Moove-In Party,” guests who wear any cow print, cow spots or costumes will be given one free entrée or kids meal.
“Since 1995, the Cows have been a beloved part of Chick-Fil-A, encouraging humans to skip burgers and ‘Eat More Chikin’ — and now it’s Bellingham’s turn to join the herd,” the news release states.
The local Chick-Fil-A location is owned and operated by Shelby Richie, who first worked as a Chick-Fil-A team member before spending four years in the restaurant’s leadership development program.
“Chick-Fil-A has been part of my life for as long as I can remember — growing up, our family visited our local restaurant every Saturday, and was a place home away from home while in college,” Richie said. “I always loved the delicious food, but what really drew me in was the people and the value that a local business can bring to the community.”
The restaurant will officially open at 6:30 a.m. Thursday, April 30.
Chick-Fil-A will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday, with drive-through service only from 9 to 10 p.m. at 4030 Cordata Pkwy.
