Bellingham’s Denny’s restaurant, the last of the chain remaining in Whatcom County, has permanently closed.

A poster announcing the permanent closure was posted on Denny’s front door on March 31.

“Thank you for your loyalty, support, and the memories we’ve shared. We are truly grateful to have been part of this community. Wishing you all the best, Management,” the sign states.

The restaurant is located at 161 Telegraph Rd. in Bellingham, near the Bellis Fair mall.

The Bellingham Denny’s was the only location remaining in Whatcom County, and the closest restaurant to Bellingham is now located at 100 East College Way in Mount Vernon.

Only 39 Denny’s restaurants remain in Washington state.

The Bellingham location was still listed as open on the restaurant’s website on April 1.
