“Dearest Janet and Ed: You always made luscious beer and food, but it was never about the beer. Beer was the hub. As it turned, our community spun out. Generations grew and radiated out across the land. Really, a sense of place and the value of knowing each other was nurtured. A burning, subtle passion for all of us raised the next generation of people who care about one another. Here’s to you,” one Facebook user wrote.
