Historic Fairhaven restaurant announces temporary closure after the holidays for repairs
One of Fairhaven’s most popular restaurants will be closing temporarily after the holidays, according to a news release.
The Black Cat, a historic restaurant known for its prime rib, cocktails, burgers and seafood, will be closed from Jan. 3-25 “for kitchen and restaurant maintenance and repairs,” according to a Dec. 20 news release from The Black Cat’s general manager, Jackie White.
“The Black Cat has been a staple in Fairhaven, WA for over 35 years. We are excited for our updates and to better serve our customers. We couldn’t do it without your support,” White states in the news release.
Updates on the restaurant’s reopening will be posted on The Black Cat’s website and social media pages.
The Black Cat is regularly open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday.
Reservations will be accepted online through Jan. 2. Reservations for February and March will be available beginning Jan. 3.
The Black Cat is located at 1200 Harris Ave. Suite 310 in Bellingham.
