Tis’ the season for peppermint mochas, and this is the best one in Whatcom County
We asked readers where to find the best peppermint mochas in Whatcom County, and the votes are in.
The poll had eight local coffee shop options in Whatcom County, including Avellino Coffeehouse, Starbucks, Makeworth Coffee and Hammerhead Coffee.
Although the unscientific poll received only 49 votes, we wanted to share readers’ favorite mocha they voted for, just in time for the holiday season.
The best peppermint mocha in Whatcom County
Woods Coffee and Crusin Coffee tied with 12 votes, or 24% of the total votes to top the list of the best peppermint mocha in Whatcom County.
Woods Coffee has locations Whatcom and Skagit, Snohomish and King County, but its roastery in is Bellingham. creating its popular coffee and flavors.
Woods Coffee’s peppermint bark mocha is a seasonal drink, and is topped with whipped cream and crushed peppermint candies.
Crusin Coffee, a coffee stand chain also has many locations across Whatcom, Skagit and Yakima County, including four Bellingham locations, one in Ferndale and one in Lynden.
Crusin Coffee’s mochas are made with espresso, Hershey’s chocolate syrup, steamed milk, and flavorings of our choice, including peppermint.
Two coffee shops also tied for second place of the poll. Both Avellino Coffeehouse and Starbucks received seven votes.
