The Black Cat received 33 votes, or 32% of the total, to top the list of the best crab cakes in Whatcom County.
The Black Cat serves brunch, lunch, dinner and a late night menu and also has a full bar. The restaurant is in historic Fairhaven, and has also won Bellingham Herald polls as the best happy hour and the best soup in Whatcom County.
The restaurant is also popular online, receiving a 4.5-star rating from 1,364 Google Reviews and a 4.1-star rating from 356 reviews on Yelp.
The Black Cat is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday. The Black Cat offers a late-night menu after 10 p.m. until close, and is located at 1200 Harris Ave. in Bellingham.
In second place with 25 votes was Anthony’s at Squalicum Harbor.
Anthony’s is known for its seafood and waterfront dining, with locations across Washington state, Oregon and Idaho.
Anthony’s at Squalicum Harbor is also popular with visitors, receiving a 4.4-star rating from 1,433 Google Reviews, and a 3.8-star rating from 277 reviews on Yelp.
Anthony’s at Squalicum Harbor is open from 11:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Sunday and is at 25 Bellwether Way in Bellingham.
In third place was Keenan’s at the Pier with 19 votes, and Skylark’s Cafe followed with eight votes.
