Bellingham’s best chicken wings votes are in. Here are the best, according to readers
Two weeks ago we asked readers which Bellingham restaurant had the best wings, and the votes are in.
As Bellingham has many restaurants that feature wings for March Madness fans and food enthusiasts alike, some restaurants received only a few votes, while one took first place in a landslide.
The poll had 13 options, including Buffalo Wild Wings, Fat Shack, KPOP Chicken and Beer, The Local Public House and more, and also featured an “Other” option for those who favorite another chicken wing stop.
Out of 560 votes, here’s what restaurant readers voted as having the best chicken wings in Bellingham:
The winner: KPOP Chicken and Beer with 126 votes.
KPOP Chicken and Beer is a local South Korean fried chicken restaurant in Bellingham that is known for double-fried chicken wings.
“In South Korea, the technique used for our K-POP fried chicken was perfected. Much of the fat under the skin is rendered out during the double frying process making it paper-thin, lean, and extra crispy,” the restaurant’s website states.
KPOP Chicken and Beer’s menu features chicken wings and drumsticks with six sauces to choose from: soy garlic, buffalo, spicy gochujang, sweet honey, BBQ and mango habanero.
The menu also includes other Korean and American fusion dishes such as Korean corndogs, kimchi fried rice, burgers, and bulgogi beef bowls.
KPOP Chicken and Beer also has a full bar, draft beers and signature cocktails including a butterscotch rum sour, soju spritzer and a black raspberry Paloma.
KPOP Chicken and Beer is open 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at 202 East Holly St.
Bellingham’s second-place winner in the poll was the “other” option with 97 votes, closely followed by Buffalo Wild Wings with 74 votes.

Carnal came in fourth with 67 votes.
Carnal is a local restaurant known for live-fire cooking that features fried chicken wings seasoned with allspice and charred habanero.
Carnal’s menu also features a roasted hanger steak, a black cod a la plancha, slow-cooked bone-in beef short rib and roasted cheesecake. The restaurant also has craft cocktails, draft beer and cider, wine and more.
Carnal is open 4-9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 4-10 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 4-8 p.m. Sunday at 1234 N. State St.
