Vote online for Children’s Choice Book Awards

Voting continues through May 3 for the Children’s Choice Book Awards, the only national literary honor whose winners are selected by readers.

Finalists have been chosen in several categories, from kindergarten-second grade on up to teen. There’s a separate category for illustrator, which includes Yuyi Morales for her stunning picture book “Viva Frida,” about the artist Frida Kahlo. Morales recently spoke at the Western Washington University Children’s Literature Conference.

To vote, go online to cbcbooks.org and click on the signpost pointing to the right. Click on the Children’s Book Week icon on the lower right and you’ll find a link to save a printable PDF copy of the annual bookmark, created this year by Raúl Colón.
