Country music’s Josh Turner is the first announced headliner for concerts during the 2016 Northwest Washington Fair.
Turner debuted at the Grand Ole Opry in 2001 with what would become his hit “Long Black Train.” His other hits include “Your Man,” “Firecracker” and “Would You Go Away With Me.”
His last album, “Punching Bag” released in 2012, included “Time Is Love,” which was the No. 1 song that year, according to Billboard.
Tickets for Turner’s Saturday, Aug. 20, show go on sale to the general public at 9 a.m. March 30 at nwwafair.com. They also will be available at the fair office, 1775 Front St., and at 877-699-FAIR. Prices are $25 each for reserved grandstand seats and $35 for preferred seats. Prices don’t include gate admission, which is required.
