Paul McCartney will return to Seattle for an April 17 show at KeyArena, his first performance in the Puget Sound region since his sold-out show at Safeco Field in 2013.
The show, announced Wednesday morning, will be the the third stop on his new One on One Tour. The tour kicks off April 13 in Fresno, California. The 10 tour stops announced Wednesday include two shows at Rogers Arena in Vancouver April 19 and 20, and one at Portland’s Moda Center April 15. The tour will also include three stops in Germany in late May and June.
The tour will features songs from his career as a Beatle, member of Wings and his solo career, as well as a redesigned set that will use massive screens, lasers and fireworks. The One on One Tour comes on the heels of McCartney’s successful Out There Tour that ended in October. That tour was 27 shows in 22 cities across the world.
The 73-year-old’s career includes 21 Grammy Awards, an Academy Award, more than 100 million albums sold and twice being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (in 1988 as a member of the Beatles and in 1999 as a solo artist). His songwriting has resulted in 32 songs reaching No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Monday. They can be purchased at the area box office and through Ticketmaster.
