Pro cowboys coming to Lynden for Extreme Broncs & Bulls
Eight seconds doesn’t seem a long time – unless you’re trying to ride some of the toughest broncs and bulls in the Northwest.
About 40 professional cowboys are coming for the Extreme Broncs & Bulls event at 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, inside the heated Washington Tractor Arena at the Northwest Washington Fair & Event Center in Lynden, sponsored by Laurel Farm and Western Supply.
“Rodeo fans love all of the rough stock events – bull riding, bareback riding and saddle bronc riding,” says Jim Baron, general manager of the Northwest Washington Fair & Event Center. “They’ll see some of the most athletic and courageous competitors in sport try to ride these bucking, twisting animals for eight seconds.”
Music in the beer garden will be offered after the competition, presented by Oregon’s Wild West Events.
Reserved tickets for the bleachers are $29 and $39. Wheelchair seating is also available for $29. Kids 3 and younger get in free if they sit on your lap.
VIP tickets are $88, sold in sets of two only, and include parking, a light meal and access to the VIP hospitality area near the cowboy action, where a full, no-host bar is available.
The Fair & Events Center also offers a barrel racing series, open to all riders and levels, on March 2 and 16 in the tractor arena (enter at gate 7, on Kok Road, and park in lot 8). Check-in is 5 to 6:15 p.m., with no advance call-in is required. Details: nwwafair.com.
