Christmas activities at Skagit museum

“Skagit Christmas,” with exhibits adorned in period decorations, runs through Dec. 31 at Skagit County Historical Museum, 501 S. Fourth St. in La Conner.

Special children’s activities, including crafts and cookie decorating, are free with admission from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6.

In the museum, visitors will find a range of historical displays and artifacts that chronicle the life of Western Washington pioneers, including the current special exhibit, “Grand Coulee to Grunge: Eight Stories That Changed The World.”

Hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. Admission is free for members and children 5 and younger, $5 for adults, $4 for seniors and children 6-12, and a special family rate of $10.
