Learn about 3-D printing at Foundry Makerspace

Get an introduction to 3-D printing in a 90-minute class at The Foundry Makerspace, a cooperative studio for arts and ideas that emphasizes innovation and pioneering technologies.

Class is 4:30-6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22, at The Foundry, 1515 N. Forest St. Cost is $20 for Foundry members, $25 non-members.

Participants will create one or two print-ready 3-D object files using The Foundry’s tools and open-source software. Participants will learn how 3-D printers work, how the software talks to the printer, see different methods for 3-D modeling, and learn to find free 3-D model files.
