Families: See kitchen chemistry at Hardware Science Day
“Food Science: Acids and Bases” is the subject of November’s Hardware Science Day, with free demonstrations at noon, 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, at the Ace Hardware store, 356 36th St., in Sehome Village shopping center.
Participants will learn about chemical reactions that affect the foods we eat, and can watch scientific experiments “in a way that teaches students about acids and bases using everyday cooking ingredients,” said Shawn Bjorback, the Hardware Scientist.
