Families: History comes alive during cemetery tour
History meets Halloween as the Skagit County Historical Museum offers its second annual Historic Cemetery Tour this weekend.
Hear history come alive — so to speak — as actors portray some of the early Skagit County residents who are buried at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in a program from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 11, at the cemetery, 17666 Valentine Road, Mount Vernon. Pleasant Ridge is the oldest cemetery in Skagit County.
Tickets are $10, or $8 for Skagit County Historical Society members. Tickets are available at the museum, 501 S. Fourth Street, La Conner.
Details: call 360-466-3365, see skagitcounty.net/Departments/HistoricalSociety, or email museum@co.skagit.wa.us.
