Whatcom Water Weeks wraps up with Salmon By the Bay, a free event from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at Maritime Heritage Park — on the northwest side of the park, near the Perry Center, Bellingham Technical College’s Fishery & Aquaculture Sciences Building, at 1600 C St.

Salmon By the Bay features displays and children’s activities, plus demonstrations on grilling and cooking salmon. Every half hour are tours of the hatchery and rearing ponds.

Free grilled salmon, provided by Trident Seafoods and grilled by local fishers, will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. near the hatchery ponds.
