Music: Blues guitarist Eric Bibb returns to Conway Muse
Eric Bibb, a New York City-born acoustic blues singer, songwriter and guitarist, performs at 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 13, at Conway Muse, 18444 Spruce St., in Conway.
He performs stripped-down, gospel-infused folk-blues. Bibb has received a Grammy nomination for his album “Shakin’ a Tailfeather.” He also has been nominated for several W.C. Handy awards, nominated for Acoustic Blues Album of the Year for his albums “Spirit and the Blues” in 2000 “Home to Me” in 2001, “Natural Light” in 2004, and “A Ship Called Love” in 2006, and has been nominated for Acoustic Blues Artist of the Year six times.
He moved to Europe in 1970 and currently lives in Helsinki, Finland, with Sari Matinlassi-Bibb, his Finnish wife and tour manager.
Doors open at 5 p.m., with dinner served before the show. Dinner and show, combined, is $44 advance, $50 at the door. Show tickets, only, are $29 advance, $32 at the door, through Brown Paper Tickets. Details: 360-445-3000.
