Bellingham painter Tyree Callahan and his friend, Seattle’s Isaac Howard, who is visiting from an artist residency at Pottery Northwest, show new work at Smith & Vallee Gallery, 5742 Gilkey Ave., in Edison.

Join them for an opening reception celebration from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, or visit the show in September to enjoy the interplay of rich autumn colors and texture in oils (by Callahan) and clay (by Howard).

Callahan is a member of the Waterfront Artist Studio Collective, on Bellingham’s waterfront in the Dairy Distributing building at 1220 Central Avenue. More on him: tyreecallahan.com, 360-715-0249.
