T1 Sweep FURIA at MSI 2026
T1 swept FURIA 3-0 to stay alive in the lower bracket of the MSI 2026 Knockout Stage. The final score didn't reflect how competitive the series was. FURIA challenged T1 throughout the match but fell short in the biggest moments. Here's a recap of the closely contested series.
The first game remained close through the early stages as T1 and FURIA traded kills and objectives across the map. Despite the even kill score, T1 built a steady gold lead through stronger laning, turret plates, and superior tower pressure. The growing item advantage proved too much for FURIA to overcome as T1 comfortably closed out the late game to take the opening victory.

FURIA responded with a much stronger early game in the second game, taking the lead in both kills and dragon stacking. However, T1 once again prioritized turret plates to maintain a gold advantage despite trailing in the other key metrics. That economic lead translated into another item advantage, allowing T1 to overpower FURIA in the late game and move within one win of the series.

The third game followed a similar pattern, with T1 falling behind in kills but staying ahead in gold through superior laning, turret plates, and early dragon control. FURIA's stronger mid game teamfighting allowed them to erase the gold deficit and briefly take control of the game. After securing Baron, T1 finally found the decisive teamfight they needed to close out the game and complete the 3-0 sweep.
With the victory, T1 advances in the lower bracket of the MSI 2026 Knockout Stage, where they will face G2 Esports next. Meanwhile, FURIA is eliminated from MSI 2026.
