PlayStation sets State of Play with 'Wolverine' for June 2

May 20 (UPI) -- PlayStation has announced that a new State of Play event featuring the upcoming Wolverine game will take place on June 2.

PlayStation will livestream the State of Play event starting at 5 p.m. EDT on PlayStation's official YouTube and Twitch channels.

The event will run over an hour and feature updates and announcements on upcoming PlayStation 5 games.

Wolverine, from Insomniac Games and based on the iconic Marvel superhero, will kick off the State of Play with an extended look. PlayStation is promising to showcase the game's brutal and relentless combat.

Wolverine is a single-player action game that is coming to the PlayStation 5 on September 15, 2026.

The title is a mature, bloody game for adults that takes players across the globe with levels based on the fictional Madripoor, Canada and Tokyo.

Actor Liam McIntyre portrays Wolverine/Logan in the game as he goes on a journey to discover the secrets of his dark past.
