Watch: Stephen Colbert dances to David Byrne during 'Late Show' performance
May 20 (UPI) --Late Show host Stephen Colbert joined David Byrne on stage during the singer and musician's performance on the talk show Tuesday.
Byrne, a founding member and frontman of the Talking Heads, performed the group's 1983 hit "Burning Down the House" while accompanied by musicians in blue jumpsuits.
Toward the end of the song, Colbert emerged on stage in a matching blue jumpsuit and danced with the group.
Byrne most recently released his ninth solo album, Who is the Sky?, a collaboration with Ghost Train Orchestra, in September. The album features the singles "Everybody Laughs," "She Explains Things to Me," "The Avant Garde" and "What is the Reason for It?"
Byrne is promoting Who is the Sky? on a world tour and will next perform June 7 in Dublin, Ireland.
Tuesday marked Colbert's third-to-last episode of The Late Show after announcing in July 2025 that the show will end. The final episode airs Thursday at 11:35 p.m. ET on CBS.
