Bellingham Exit music festival, art market returns this week at multiple venues

Bellingham Exit, a live music festival in downtown Bellingham, is returning for its third year from Oct. 8-12.

“Bellingham Exit is back, taking over downtown October 8–12, 2025, with music, art, comedy, dance parties, and curiosities that push past the expected,” according to the event website. “Think SXSW, Treefort, and Iceland Airwaves, but with a distinctly Bellingham flavor — community-built, art-forward, and cheekily themed around breakfast, lunch, and dinner: Eat Up.”

The festival’s director, Hunter Motto, is also the music director for Bellingham’s Northwest Tune-Up and creative director at Crocodile, a historic music venue in Seattle.

This year’s festival features 17 concerts across four Bellingham music venues: Mount Baker Theatre, Wild Buffalo House of Music, The Shakedown and The Blue Room, according to the festival schedule. Featured acts include Amigo the Devil & Lucero; comedian Demetri Martin; and Lucinda Williams & Joy Oladokun.

The festival will also include a gathering of the Wonderz Market from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday on the 1300 block of Commercial Street and in the Commercial Street Plaza. The market, which highlights offerings of local artisans, will have several food and beverage vendors on site as well.
