Music: ‘Four Centuries: Flute and Piano’ in Mount Vernon

Pianist Oksana Ezhokina and flutist Jeffrey Cohan present a concert entitled “Four Centuries: Flute and Piano,” with works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Albert Franz Doppler, Francis Poulenc and Igor Dekleva, at 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 23, at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 415 S. 18th St., Mount Vernon.

The Russian-born pianist is chair of the piano faculty at Pacific Lutheran University and is artistic director of the International Chamber Music Festival Institute and Winter Piano Festival at the Icicle Creek Center for the Arts in Leavenworth.

Cohan has performed as a soloist in more than 25 countries, most recently in Mongolia and China, on transverse flutes from the Renaissance through the present.
