“Leaving Iowa,” part of the Western Summer Theatre series, is on stage at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday, Aug. 19-22, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 23, at Western’s Performing Arts Center DUG Theater, room 199.
The comedy is playwrights’ Tim Clue’s and Spike Manton’s postcard to anyone who has ever found himself or herself driving alone on a road, revisiting fond memories of his or her youth. Remember those car trips when parents where yelling “Don’t make me come back there!” and kids were screeching “Are we there yet?”
“Leaving Iowa” brings you back to the family trips with all of their joys, trials and flat tires.
Tickets are $15 general, $11 students, at 360-650-6146, tickets.wwu.edu, and the PAC box office.
Entry to DUG Theater is through the parking lot entrance on the south side of the Performing Arts Center. Go down one flight of stairs and the entrance to the theater is the double doors on your left.
