The fifth annual Birch Bay Music Festival kicks off at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14, and runs through Sunday, Aug. 16, in the overflow parking lot just south of Birch Bay Waterslides, 4874 Birch Bay-Lynden Road.
Festivities include live music by more than a dozen bands, a children’s train ride, food and merchandise vendors, an auction, a beer-and-wine garden, and a raffle drawing for a hand-crafted guitar by Bryan Cronk.
This year’s music lineup includes Sucker Punch, Rabbit Wilde, Arcade Cowboys, and The Replayzmentz. Food will be available for purchase from Bay Cafe and The C Shop.
Admission is free but donations are appreciated. Proceeds benefit Orca Network, a Washington nonprofit dedicated to improving orca habitat, and to local youth music programs.
