Music: Rabbit Wilde plays at Maritime Park Aug. 14
Rabbit Wilde, formerly known as Br’er Rabbit, performs what they dub “folk-stomp Americana” in a free concert from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14, at Maritime Heritage Park, Holly Street at Central Avenue, as part of the Levitt AMP Bellingham Music Series.
The group revamps classic string-band instrumentation with homespun percussion and the integration of six-string ukulele and cello. With musical influences ranging from Beethoven to Beirut, three distinct vocal styles and copious amounts of foot-stomping, they demonstrate a sound and presence that’s at once original and familiar, appealing to audiences of all generations and genres.
Food available on site by Goat Mountain Pizza.
