Fair: Skagit Fair has magic, farm animals, live music

The Skagit County Fair runs from 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12, through Aug. 15, at the fairgrounds, 479 W. Taylor St., Mount Vernon.

Entertainment includes Clan Heather Dancers, Holmes Shea Band, Gertrude’s Hearse, Gin Gypsy, The Magic of Sterling, Troy Fair Band, Karl Blau, and Knut Bell, plus animal exhibits, kids’ activities, a carnival, and a car show.

Admission: $8 ages 18-64: $6 ages 6-17 and 65 and older; $20 family of two adults and two children; free for ages 5 and younger. Opening day, Aug. 12, all tickets are $4 until 4 p.m.

One-day carnival wristbands are $30. Parking is $5.
