Alton Brown, known for hosting Food Network staples “Good Eats” and “Iron Chef America,” is coming to Bellingham for what a press release describes as “a culinary variety show the likes of which human eyes have never seen.”

Alton Brown to hold Bellingham event

Brown will stop at the Mount Baker Theatre on March 30 as part of his “Alton Brown Live: Last Bite” tour, the venue announced Wednesday. The tour coincides with the release of his latest book, “Food for Thought.”

It’s not quite a retirement tour — Brown, who left the Food Network around 2020, told People magazine in late 2024 that he plans to take a step back after the tour before deciding his next career step.

During the event, Brown will speak about his career as one of the faces of food television and present some of his favorite cooking tips.

Brown got his start on food television in 1999 with Good Eats, where he explained the science and history behind the dishes he cooked. He served as the host and commentator of popular competition show Iron Chef America for over a decade, and added another competition show, Cutthroat Kitchen, to his resume in 2013. More recently, he brought a Good Eats reboot to the Food Network and Discovery+, and an Iron Chef reboot to Netflix. He’s also released nine books — “Food for Thought” will be his 10th — and completed three nationwide tours.

How to buy tickets

Tickets are on sale now and available on the Mount Baker Theatre’s website. They start at $49.75 with the priciest seats selling for $99.75.

The show starts at 4 p.m. Sunday, March 30. VIP ticket holders will also receive a signed copy of “Food for Thought” and access to a question-and-answer session with Brown.
