Music: North Carolina rock sextet plays the Frog

North Carolina roots-rock sextet American Aquarium makes a stop at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12, at the Green Frog, 1015 N. State St., on the band’s coast-to-coast and European tour, with shows in 32 states before they cross the Atlantic for performances in Denmark, the Netherlands and Belgium.

The band formed in 2006 in Raleigh, N.C., taking its name from the Wilco song “I Am Trying to Break Your Heart,” and is performing in support of its latest album, “Wolves.” Tickets are $12.

Texas guitarist J Wagner opens.
