Music: West African music, dance Aug. 9 at Peace Arch
Gansango Music & Dance Company performs a free concert at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 9, at Peace Arch State Park, 19 A St., in Blaine.
The company draws on the talent of a multicultural group of international dancers and musicians who present traditional and contemporary dance and music from West Africa.
The performance is part of the annual Peace Arch International Concert Series, through Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission’s Folk and Traditional Arts in the Parks Program. Events in the series continue each Sunday through Aug. 23.
