Poetry: Kevin Murphy, Matthew Brouwer perform Aug. 5 in park
Kevin Murphy and Matthew Brouwer share their original poetry, accompanied by guitar, drum, saxophone and wind chimes, at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 5, at Maritime Heritage Park, Holly Street and Central Avenue.
Both Bellingham poets perform regularly in Bellingham and beyond. Witty, imaginative, and a bit zany, their poetry is made to be heard and experienced live.
The free event is the precursor to Word on the Street, a weekly writing group that provides a creative outlet for people experiencing homelessness or difficult periods of transition.
Details: Bellingham Parks and Recreation Department, 360-778-7000.
