Festival: Co-op party open to all Aug. 2

The Community Food Co-op’s 18th annual, all-ages Community Party will run from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 2, at Maritime Heritage Park, Holly Street and Central Avenue, and is open to the community.

Events include Bellingham musician Lucas Hicks performing from noon to 1 p.m., the annual “Co-operative Circus Show and Parade” from 2 to 3 p.m., and Yogoman Burning Band, a Bellingham dance band, performing from 3 to 4:45 p.m.

There also will be a circus arts “playshop” with Jason Quick and members of the Bellingham Circus Guild, face painting, and craft-making.

Food for purchase includes the $3 Co-op Deli burrito (vegetarian burrito, with gluten-free options), Acme Ice Cream, and Electric Beet Juice Co.’s organic juices and sweet treats.
