Music: Duffy Bishop brings blues to the Muse July 25

Blues-blaster and soul-singer Duffy Bishop performs at 8 p.m. Saturday, July 25 at The Conway Muse, 18444 Spruce St.

Based in Portland, Ore., Bishop is in the hall of fame of the Cascade Blues Association and the Washington Blues Society, and the recipient of both organizations’ Lifetime Achievement Award.

She has won the CBA’s Female Vocalist Award so many years in a row that they renamed it the Duffy Bishop Female Vocalist Award. Her latest album is “Find Your Way Home.”

Blues singer and guitarist Cee Cee James and Rob “Slideboy” Andrews open at 6 p.m.

Advance tickets are $15 for the opening gig, $18 for the whole evening, through Brown Paper Tickets. Tickets at the door are $18 and $20.
