Music: Carmona Flamenco performs July 22 at WWU
Western Washington University’s Associated Students Summer Noon Concert series continues with a performance of Spanish folk music and dance by Seattle’s Carmona Flamenco from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, at WWU’s Performing Arts Center Plaza (or the Underground Coffeehouse in case of rain).
Carmona Flamenco is one of Washington's premier flamenco group, comprised of award-winning Marcos, Rubina and David Carmona, and guest dancers.
Carmona Flamenco specializes in modern traditional flamenco. Soulful songs, riveting guitar and percussion, and emotional dance characterize the exciting group.
The ensemble is known for their many concert, festival, and cabaret appearances throughout Spain and the United States, including shows in Madrid and Sevilla, as well as San Francisco, New York and Los Angeles.
