Readers of the international bestseller “Ready Player One” or the 2009 cult film favorite “Fanboy” will be excited to hear author, screenwriter and self-proclaimed geek Ernest Cline will be a guest on the Chuckanut Radio Hour on Thursday, July 16.
“Ready Player One,” a young adult novel, has risen to fame since its publication in 2012, and it was recently announced that Stephen Spielberg would be directing the book’s film adaptation.
Cline’s second novel, “Armada,” is being described as a “rollicking, surprising thriller, a classic coming of age adventure, and an alien invasion tale like nothing you’ve ever read before.”
Tickets for the show at Whatcom Community College, 237 W. Kellogg Road, are $5 at Village Books and BrownPaperTickets.com. People receive one free ticket with pre-purchase of “Armada” at Village Books.
