Ring in the New Year at these Whatcom County News Years’ Eve events, get tickets now
The end of 2022 is quickly approaching and for those looking for a fun way to ring in 2023, The Bellingham Herald has put together a list of local New Year’s Eve events on Saturday, Dec. 31.
Galloway’s Great Gatsby New Year’s Eve Party
Galloway’s Cocktail Bar will be hosting its annual Gatsby-themed New Year’s Eve party. Guests can reserve a VIP table in advance online for $120, which includes a bottle of champagne, a charcuterie plate, entries for raffle prizes and seats for four guests. Tables open up at 10:30 p.m. Walk-in, open seating will also be available on a first-come, first-serve basis starting at 3 p.m., with last call at 12:15 a.m. Guests are encouraged to dress in Gatsby, roaring ‘20s attire. Galloway’s Cocktail Bar is at 1200 10th St. in Bellingham.
New Year’s Eve Countdown Party at Twin Sisters Brewing Company
Twin Sisters Brewing Company is hosting a New Year’s Eve party at 9 p.m. that includes a buffet-style dinner, live music and a champagne toast at midnight. Tickets cost $35 per person and can be purchased online in advance. Twin Sister Brewing Company is at 500 Carolina St. in Bellingham.
New Year’s Eve Party at Boundary Bay Brewery
Boundary Bay Brewery will hold a New Year’s Eve party with live music from North Sound Soul, a soul and funk band. The party runs from 10 p.m. to midnight. Presale tickets are $12 and can be purchased at the brewery in advance, or tickets cost $15 at the door. Boundary Bay Brewery is at 1107 Railroad Ave. in Bellingham.
NYE GLOW Black Light Party at Inner Child Studio
This black light, body paint, alcohol-free party is only for ages 18 and up and includes body paint, food and beverages with each ticket. Body painting opens at 9 p.m. and the party starts at 10 p.m. The studio website informs guests that this is a “sex and body positive event. Someone might be wearing body paint and nothing else.” Tickets cost $15 each and can be purchased in advance online. Inner Child Studio is in Bellingham at 715 W. Orchard Dr.
A Jazz New Year’s Eve at Storia Cucina
Storia Cucina, an Italian restaurant in Bellingham, will have live jazz music from a guitar, percussion and flute trio from 10:30 p.m. to midnight. There is no cover charge for the concert. Walk-ins are welcomed and reservations for the restaurant can only be made for parties of 10 or more. Storia Cucina is located at 109 Grand Ave.
New Year’s Eve Fundraiser Party for Bellingham Arts Academy for Youth
Bellingham Repertory Dance will host a fundraiser New Year’s Eve party with karaoke, raffles, dancing, a photo booth and a surprise performance. Admission is only open for guests ages 21 and older, and costs $10 per person. Tickets can be purchased online or at the door and include one raffle ticket, but additional raffle tickets and drinks will be available to purchase. Doors open at 7 p.m., and the event is located at the BAAY Theatre at 1059 N. State St. in Bellingham.
New Year’s Eve Block Party
Black Sheep Bar, Lorikeet Bar and Goat Mountain Pizza Co. will host a New Year’s Eve block party with live music, a DJ, pizza, drinks and a Y2K Barbie Vs Punk Barbie theme. Doors open at 8:30 p.m. and performances start at 9 p.m. Tickets cost $8 in advance online or $12 at the door, and the event is only open for those 21 and up. Tickets also include a champagne toast at midnight. The event is located at Black Sheep Bar at 211 W. Holly St. in Bellingham.
Improv New Year’s Eve Show at Upfront Theatre
The Upfront Theatre, known for its improv shows and lessons will put on three improv shows of “A Very Upfront New Year” at 7 p.m., 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. Tickets cost $15 each and can be purchased online. The show is for ages 21 and up, and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be available to purchase. The 11 p.m. show also includes champagne or non-alcoholic bubbly for a midnight toast. The theater is at 207 Prospect St. in Bellingham.
New Year’s Eve Party at Stones Throw Brewery
Stones Throw Brewery will host its annual New Year’s Eve party with live music, Jack’s BBQ and the brewery’s drinks. The event starts at 7 p.m. and guests can watch the NYE Ball Drop at 9 p.m. and the Seattle New Year’s countdown at midnight. Stones Throw Brewery is at 1009 Larrabee Ave. in Bellingham.
New Years Eve Party at The Wild Buffalo
The Wild Buffalo venue invites guests ages 21 and older to “come dressed to the nines and enjoy a night of dancing and a champagne toast at midnight,” at its New Year’s Eve Party. The party will include a live band and DJ. Tickets can be purchased online in advance and cost $15. Doors open at 8 p.m. The Wild Buffalo venue is in Bellingham at 208 W. Holly St.
Rocking New Year at Van Zandt Community Hall
The South Fork Valley Community Association will present its annual awards, followed by an evening of dancing and socializing at the Van Zandt Community Hall, 4106 Valley Highway, Deming.
Doors open at 8 p.m. for an hour of socializing. Cost is $10 per person or $20 for a family, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds. Attendees are asked to bring their own beverages and a plate of finger food to share. Music by bandZandt from 9 p.m. to midnight-plus.
