They sold more than 9 million albums, played Coachella. Now they’re coming to Bellingham
The Violent Femmes, best known for the songs “Blister in the Sun” and “Gone Daddy Gone,” are coming to the Mount Baker Theatre Thursday, June 2.
Tickets for the 7 p.m. concert are $34.50 to $49.50 at the theater’s website.
The folk-punk/alternative rock band’s 1983 self-titled debut album sold more than 1 million units. The band sold more than 9 million albums by 2005. The band reunited in 2013 and performed at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.
Original members Gordon Gano and Brian Ritchie are in the touring band. Deap Valley opens the show at the Bellingham venue at 104 N. Commercial St., according to a news release from Big Hassle Media.
